is anybody listening?

Have you ever felt like you weren't being heard? Maybe it was in a relationship, at work, or with a friend. When we don't feel heard, it can be incredibly frustrating and even leave us feeling isolated and alone.

It's essential to feel like our experiences and thoughts are valid. When we don't feel heard, we may start to question ourselves and wonder if what we're saying or feeling is wrong. But the truth is, everyone's experiences are valid. And being heard is an important part of the healing process.

Being Heard Helps Us Process Our Experiences

When we share our experiences with someone who will listen without judgement, it can help us to make sense of what we're going through. Just knowing that someone else understands us can be incredibly powerful.

Being listened to also allows us to release our feelings in a safe environment. Many of us bottle up our emotions because we're afraid of how others will react. But when we have somebody who will just listen without judgement, it can be freeing. We can finally say what we've been wanting to say for so long.

And when we're finally able to say what's on our mind, it can help us to find closure and move on from whatever it is that's been bothering us.

Being Heard Increases Our Self-Esteem and Feelings of Worthiness

When we share our experiences with somebody and they validate our feelings, it helps us to feel good about ourselves. It reminds us that we are worthy of love and respect. Feeling heard can be especially helpful if you've been through something traumatic or if you're struggling with self-doubt.

Listening Without Judgement Is Rare—And That's What Makes It So Powerful

In this world, it's rare to find somebody who will truly listen without judgement—but that's what makes being heard so powerful. When somebody takes the time to really listen to us, it can make a world of difference.
